Itty Bitty Sports Sampler

Not Sure Which Sport is Right for Your Child? Try Them All!

The YMCA Itty Bitty Sports Sampler is offered for 4 and 5 year-old boys and girls. The Itty Bitty Sports Sampler is offered in the Winter (age 4 by July 31, 2024) and in the Summer (age 4 by June 11, 2024). Sports Sampler participants will receive an informational letter detailing time and location approximately ten days before the start date.

Description

Our Sports Sampler offers fundamentals, instruction and activities. The Sports Sampler is a 50-minute session once a week for five weeks with exposure to a variety of activities. The sports offered in the summer will be basketball, football/cheer, soccer, golf, t-ball and volleyball.

Ages

Ages 4-5

For the summer session participants must be 4 years old by June 11, 2024, and not currently in Kindergarten during the 2024/2025 school year.

Registration Information

The Summer Itty Bitty Sports Sampler Clinic registration information is now available. The registration deadline is on May 28. There is a max of 35 participants per session.

Clinic Days

The Summer Itty Bitty Sports Sampler Clinic will be held on Tuesday evenings on June 11, 18, 25 and July 2 and 9.

5:30pm to 6:20pm

6:30pm to 7:20pm

Clinic Location

Clinic location will be determined for the sport. The detailed information for each session will be emailed out after the registration deadline.

Other Equipment

The YMCA will provide most equipment for each session. The YMCA will not provide shin guards for soccer or a glove for baseball/softball. Participants may wear cleats but tennis shoes are fine. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed during matches/games.
