Camp Cut Foot Sioux, located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest in north central Minnesota, offers a rustic setting and facilities for northwoods camping. The two cabins and Ritchey Lodge sit at the end of picturesque Seelye Bay, which opens onto Lake Cut Foot Sioux and Lake Winnibigoshish.
Here you can view bald eagles soaring through the sky, gorgeous summer sunsets, and a star-filled nighttime sky. You can enjoy peaceful walks through evergreen forest, swimming in the refreshing lake water, and listening to the loons sing.
"Lake Winnie" boasts excellent fishing for pike and walleye and the national forest has many trails for hiking and biking.
At Camp Cut Foot Sioux, you can feel the northwoods magic!

Facilities

Many people have enjoyed "roughing it" at Camp Cut Foot Sioux through its long history. The facilities, though primitive, provide the basic necessities for a great northwoods adventure.

Ritchey Lodge has lights, refrigerator, stove, dishes and cooking utensils in the kitchen. There is a screened-in porch that also serves as a dining area. Drinking water is supplied from a hand-operated "pitcher" pump located near the lodge. A fireplace can help warm you up during the cooler times of the year. The two side rooms sleep a combined total of 18 people. Campers must provide their own bedding and personal gear. The restroom facilities consist of an outhouse located near the main lodge.

Pine and Birch Cabins each have bunk beds to sleep 10 people.

Three rowboats and a canoe with lifejackets are provided at no additional cost.

Camp Cut Foot Sioux is leased from the United States Forest Service and operated by the Lincoln YMCA as a youth camp. All use of Camp Cut Foot Sioux shall be consistent with our lease (for youth related activities) and the YMCA mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
