Fitness Programs
Group ExerciseAll fitness classes are FREE to members!Group Land The YMCA offers a variety of land fitness classes. Included in your membership are: yoga, step, pilates, kick boxing, power pump, abs and back and many more. Group Cycling These classes are an anaerobic and aerobic workout on stationary bikes that simulate an outdoor bike. An instructor will motivate you through a great workout using a variety of music. We recommend signing up in advance to secure a bike for your participation. Group Water Reduce stress on joints by getting in the water. Choose between shallow, deep, combo, and walking classes to keep your workouts fun and invigorating. Water classes are great for rehabilitation and for cross training. Women's Fitness TrainingDo you find yourself in the workout area not knowing how to use the machines? Are you unsure of how much weight to use or how many repititions to do?This class is for you! Just for women, this 4 week class will teach you how to use each machine and the basics of exercise, as well as address some of the issues that women deal with when trying to be healthier. This class will meet twice per week for 4 weeks. Morning and evening options available. This program is available to Lincoln YMCA members only and costs $15. Click the link below for more details. Youth Fitness TrainingYouth fitness training is a perfect way for any child to get started towards their fitness goals. This class is for 12-14 year olds who are interested in keeping their bodies strong and healthy. The class will instruct on safety and proper techniques in using all workout area equipment, as well as discussion of character development, weight room etiquette, basic nutrition, and the effects of drugs, alcohol and smoking on the body.
Personal TrainingTake your workouts to the next level and get some personalized training with a YMCA Personal Trainer. Sessions are one hour in length and available at all Lincoln YMCA branches.Quick Fit StudioQuick Fit is a fun, non-intimidating 30-minute circuit workout. Users will alternate between strength and cardio stations, spending approximately 30-seconds at each station.Nutrition ConsultationsSign up today to meet one-on-one with a YMCA Nutrition Specialist for a nutrition analysis. Nutrition analysis includes a computerized dietary recall evaluation and consultation to discuss recommendations, questions and concerns regarding dietary habits. Additional services include menu planning and additional days of diet recall analysis.$30 for first consultation; $15 for follow up consultations. Total Body "Mini" ChallengeThis 6-week makeover program has all the ingredients to help you succeed in transforming your body, inside and out. Plus, with fabulous prizes waiting to be won, you have nothing to lose. . .except for inches!Compete with other YMCA members to achieve the greatest results in the "Total Body Challenge" program. One male and one female grand prize winner will be chosen based on total points earned by reaching your program goals, attending program seminars/classes and more! Teen Yoga- A Standing GoddessStanding Goddess yoga is a fun integration of yoga postures, breathing and relaxation set to contemporary music. This 8 week class is for youth, age 9-14. It will provide an opportunity for youth to improve gross motor skills and take on challenges in stregth, agility and endurance.
