Specialized Training includes a variety of types of group trainings tailored to specific goals. For our most current offerings by branch, click on the buttons below (coming soon).

Barre-based fitness training is a total-body workout that fuses elements from ballet-based Barre work with strength training and core work. Classes include Barre Boot Camp and Barre Express.
An innovative fitness program that builds strength, deepens flexibility, and improves balance and coordination using the natural benefits of air and water to enhance traditional fitness movements creating high-intensity, low-impact workouts. Classes include BOGAFiT and BOGAYoga.

This three part chakra series will begin with the exploration of the root and sacral chakras. During these trainings we will work with colors, healing crystals, mudras, postures, guided visualization, aromatherapy, and sounds to explore the amazing healing potential of your seven major chakras. Learning these techniques will leave you feeling rejuvenated and recharged. Includes: Essential oils and healing/meditation crystals for all 7 chakras.

Classes will help participants develop a running base, learn how to run a full or half marathon, and/or run at a faster pace. Training with the Y means a positive, energetic environment where participants make friends and training partners for life. Classes include Marathon Preparedness Class, Full/Half Marathon Training, Marathon Training Saturday Long Runs, and Halfsy Training.
In this class you will practice on and off body tricks, transitions, and techniques. You will learn short, fun hoop dance sequences. Class size is kept small for personalized support. Hoops are provided during class.
The Y offers a variety of Martial Arts classes for youth and adults. Build a healthy, active habit for your family that focuses on more than just the physical. Classes include Karate and Tae Kwon Do.

This top-notch Masters Swimming and Fitness Program benefits adults who swim for fun, fitness or competition. Training includes stroke technique, endurance, speed, and strength training.

A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels, combining many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Played both indoors and outdoors on a badminton-sized court and slightly modified tennis net using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. 

The overall aim of this conditioning program is to increase performance, while decreasing the risk of injury, by including strength training in your routine.
This class is designed for capable swimmers who would like to improve their performance for triathlon swimming or distance/fitness swimming. The instructor will critique strokes and offer advice to optimize each participant's technique.
TRX® Suspension Training is a revolutionary method of leveraged bodyweight exercise. You can safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and prevent injuries, all at the intensity you choose, for all fitness levels. Classes Include TRX Foundations, TRX Boot Camp, TRX Yoga Flow and TRX Fusion.
This strength training series focuses on building strength and confidence in the wellness center. Learn to execute proper form, break through fitness plateaus, and challenge your body, while making new friends at the Y. Previous weight lifting experience is not required.
Learn how to be a tough target and the mindset of how to avoid situations that put you at risk. This class will practice situational awareness, voice inflection, kicks and strikes with pads, distraction and balance disruption techniques, breakaways, and joint locks.
Join the Lincoln Y's weight loss challenge. You will work together with a Wellness Coach and up to 6 team members. Through this 12-week, 2 times/week weight-loss challenge you will become healthier by setting and working towards realistic and personal goals. Cash prizes will be awarded to the individual and team that loses the highest percentage of body weight within the Lincoln Ys. Pro option includes 4 one-on-one 45 minute nutrition sessions with a Registered Dietitian.

If you have recently lost weight, struggle to maintain your weight or need guidance to make healthier choices, this 4-week program is for you. Maintaining a fitness level is a juggling act and we want to help you take the confusion out of it. Meet twice a week with a certified trainer and five other members to workout and talk facts. 

Various workshops can teach you how to boost your exercise performance, prevent injuries, de-stress or calm your mind. Classes include Yoga for Athletes, Yoga Barre, Partner Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Beginning Yoga, Myofascial Release Workshop, Yoga for Kids and Meditation.
