LINCOLN YMCA CELEBRATES WELCOMING WEEK & LINCOLN CALLING

LINCOLN, NE [September 5, 2018] — Communities and organizations across the United States, including the YMCA of Lincoln, are joining Welcoming America in celebrating new Americans during Welcoming Week, September 14-23.

“At the YMCA of Lincoln, we believe Lincoln is stronger when everyone in the community feels welcome and we can all work together for the common good,” said Barb Bettin, President and CEO. “We are proud to be a part of Welcoming Week, demonstrating that people of all backgrounds are coming together to create stronger communities."

Coinciding with Welcoming Week this year is the YMCA’s participation in Lincoln Calling. As a Health & Wellness sponsor, the YMCA is offering a discounted day-fee rate for all Lincoln Calling ticket holders and volunteers, as well as providing additional perks for showcasing artists, musicians and tour staff during the timeframe of September 17-23. Plus, the YMCA is partnering with Lincoln Calling to offer lots of wellness activities that are open to the public including group exercise classes with guest instructors or live music, outdoor yoga and meditation, panel discussions and so much more. Online pre-registration is required for all YMCA indoor activities, as space is limited.
