Teen Programs

The teenage years are critical to healthy and safe development. Keep your children active and engaged before and after school with our Teen Programs and Child Care offerings.

The last Saturday of the month* is reserved exclusively for teens from 6:30pm to 10:00pm at the Downtown YMCA. All 5th-9th graders are welcome to come to Teen Night and it is FREE. You need not be a member to participate.

The Child and Babysitting Safety program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children.

The Cooper YMCA offers a 20-foot climbing wall for anyone over 5 years old. The wall offers five different ropes and assistance from our staff. Individual and family classes are also available for YMCA Members.

Throughout our four Lincoln facilities, the Y offers a vast variety of Martial Arts classes for youth and adults. Build a healthy, active habit for your family that focuses on more than just the physical. Hone your child's self-esteem, concentration and respect for others as well.

Lifeguard certification and recertification classes are designed to teach and reinforce the fundamentals of lifeguarding.

The goal of the Speed & Agility youth program is to teach youth participants (ages 9-14) skills that will help them excel in their respected sport(s).
YMCA Camp Kitaki is a resident summer camp facility for ages 7-17, whose purpose is to build strong kids and adults through programs that promote positive identity, relationships, values and skills in a unique natural setting. We are a dedicated group of professional youth developers who passionately believe in the power of the overnight camp experience and what it does to help grow a child's sense of self-worth and independence.
Honoring the core Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility; the YMCA Youth Sports Branch strives to provide a quality experience for players, coaches, and families that promotes the development of each athlete to reach their highest potential through skill refinement, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Individualized training for 12- to 14-year-olds who are motivated to stay or become strong and healthy. Participants will learn safety and proper technique in using all workout area and equipment.
