The ENERGY Fitness program was developed from the success of the HEROES Fitness program, a partnership between the Fallbrook YMCA and Children's HEROES program. Children's HEROES (Healthy Eating with Resources, Options and Everyday Strategies) program is the only multidisciplinary obesity treatment program in the region designed specifically for children and adolescents. It combines medical management, nutrition education, behavior modification, fitness and behavioral health therapy to provide immediate and long-term weight management support. Learn more about Children's HEROES program. To participate in Children's HEROES program, you must be referred by your primary care provider.

Participants in the ENERGY Fitness program benefit from the expertise of other collaborating partners, including the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Psychology Department, University of Nebraska Medical Center's College of Public Health, the Nebraska Medical Association, and local pediatricians and family physicians.

Together, we're working to reverse the dangerous trend of childhood obesity and empower families to live healthier lives.
