Recreational Soccer League

League Description

Recreational Soccer is a great way to develop your child's skills with one practice and one game per week. Volunteer coaches use smaller goals and fields for younger age levels with modified rules to provide maximum player success. Everyone participates in a seven-week season with boys and girls in separate leagues.

Ages

Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

Registration Information

Registration for the Spring YMCA Recreational Soccer League will be available after January 1.

Game Days

Saturday or Sunday afternoons in March, April and May

The exact day of games for each grade level will be posted in early March. Projected game days are listed below.

Saturday mornings / afternoons: All Girls Divisions Kindergarten through 8th Grade, Kindergarten, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade and 8th Grade Boys

Sunday Afternoons: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade Boys

Uniforms

The YMCA Reversible Soccer Jersey (blue/red) is required for Recreational Soccer. Jerseys can be purchased for $15 at the park (cash or check only) on game days or at the Youth Sports office (570 Fallbrook Blvd Suite 210) Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm.

Lincoln YMCA Members $56 | Community Members $66

Other Equipment

Shin guards are required. (Socks must be worn over shin guard). Eye glass strap is also required. No screw-in, baseball, or football cleats allowed. Tennis shoes are fine. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed during matches/games.
