Girls Recreational Flag Football League

League Description

Girls Recreational Flag Football will give girls in 2nd - 8th Grade the ability to learn fundamentals and develop into better players and teammates. With one practice and one game played each week during a seven-week season, players will enjoy modified rules based on their age. Volunteer coaches ensure that all participants play and teams will be based on school, grade, and previous team participation.

2nd - 8th Grade.

Registration Information

Registration for the YMCA Girls Spring Recreational Flag Football League will be available around January 1

If we would not have enough registration for the Girls Recreational Flag Football League, registrants will have the option to participate in the YMCA Jr. Huskers Recreational Flag League.

Game Days

Games will be held in March, April and May.

2nd Grade through 8th Grade will be played on Mondays, Tuesday, or Thursdays after 5:30pm.

Uniforms

The Jr. Huskers Reversible Flag Football Jersey (black/red) is required for Jr. Huskers Recreational Flag Football. Jerseys can be purchased for $18 at the park (cash or check only) on game days or at the Youth Sports office (570 Fallbrook Blvd Suite 210) Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.

Other Equipment

Mouth guards are required. Cleats are recommended but not required. Tennis shoes are fine. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed during matches/games.
