7th - 12th Grade | YMCA Discus and Shot Put Throwing Clinic is offered for 7th through 12th Grade boys and girls. The clinic is designed for middle and high school athletes looking to learn and improve their shot put and discus skills. The program focuses on proper technique, strength development, and event-specific drills to help athletes build confidence and increase performance. It will be one hour sessions once a week for four weeks.

Program Description

YMCA Discus and Shot Put Throwing Clinic is offered for 7th through 12th Grade boys and girls. The clinic is designed for middle and high school athletes looking to learn and improve their shot put and discus skills. The program focuses on proper technique, strength development, and event-specific drills to help athletes build confidence and increase performance. It will be one hour sessions once a week for four weeks. Participants will receive an informational email detailing clinic time and location approximately ten days before the start date.

Ages

7th - 12th Grade (School Grade for the 2027-2028 school year.)

Fees

Lincoln YMCA Members $40 | Community Members $55

Other Equipment

Running shoes or throwing shoes are recommended. Tennis shoes are fine. No sandals, open-toed shoes or shoes with cleats allowed. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed.
