Have questions about Y membership? Start here:

How do I become a member?

It's simple! You may Join Online or stop by any Lincoln YMCA location. You will need to pay for your first month and joining fee. Fees will be drafted the first of each month from your bank account or credit card.

How do I cancel my membership?

We're sad to see you go, but understand that you may need to cancel your membership. Completion of our Membership Cancelation Form at least five business days prior to the end of the month is required to cancel your membership. To complete the cancelation form, please visit the Front Desk of any Lincoln YMCA.

How do I place my membership on hold?

Members with a monthly membership can place their membership on hold for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three consecutive months within any one-year period. The membership will automatically restart at the end of the hold period. Members can complete the Membership Hold Agreement at the Front Desk of any Lincoln YMCA at least five business days prior to the end of the month. Please note that memberships paid by payroll deduction cannot be placed on hold.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my membership?

To add or remove individuals from your membership or to change your membership type, please stop by the Front Desk of any Lincoln YMCA to complete a Change Request Form. Upgrades will take effect immediately and downgrades will take effect on the 1st of the month following notification.

Do you offer reduced rates?

Do you have corporate rates?

We welcome Corporate Memberships and have a variety of strong Lincoln partners. Learn more on our Corporate and Group Memberships page.

Can I pay cash instead of automatic debit?

We accept cash payment in advance for a 12-month period. To pay your membership dues monthly, we automatically debit from a bank account, or any major credit card account on the first of each month.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

We never require a contract at the YMCA. All memberships are on month-to-month terms.

Can I visit other YMCAs?

Yes. Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating YMCA in the United States through membership at your home YMCA. We offer this because we want to help you reach your health and wellness goals wherever you live, work, or travel. This is an essential part of our mission to strengthen communities.

Can I bring guests?

Yes. We encourage our members to introduce their friends, family, and colleagues to the YMCA. Each guest must accompany a Lincoln Y member, 19 years or older. Each guest can receive three free visits to the Lincoln Y and must show a photo ID to check in.

What are your hours?

Hours vary by location and can be found on each facility location page. Holiday hours can be found here as well.

Do you have lockers?

All Lincoln Ys have lockers available for member use. Members should bring a lock to secure their belongings.

Will someone assist me with my workout?

Sure! Our fitness staff and certified personal trainers are available for a variety of wellness services including fitness assessments, equipment orientations, help with individualized routines, and ongoing personal training sessions. Ask a YMCA staff member about fees for ongoing training.

Can I bring my child in while I work out?

All facilities have a Child Watch program. Ask your Y for specific information regarding fees and times. Children ages 9 and older may use the Quick Fit Studio with you.

What is your Youth Policy?

Please refer to our Youth Policy page for complete detail of our facility use guidelines.

Do you offer SilverSneakers or Silver&Fit?
