Make a Difference
Volunteers matter and are vital to the YMCA. Without you, we wouldn't be able to meet the needs of the people who live in our community. We believe that lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together. When you volunteer at the Y, you take an active role in changing and strengthening our community.
More than 170 years ago, the Y was founded by a group of volunteers who wanted to improve their communities. Today, Y volunteers and supporters remain at the heart of our organization. It is only through the support of our volunteers, partners and donors that we are able to deliver on our cause to strengthen community.
When you become a volunteer, you have the opportunity to share your blessings with those who need it most. Whether you mentor a student on the verge of dropping out, coach a team to their personal best or become a friend to an isolated senior, your time and talent changes lives. When you help a neighbor, you make a difference in their life…and yours.
