Jr. Chefs

Learn kitchen etiquette and cooking basics in this hands-on kids program. Youth will build basic culinary skills, incorporating nutritional information and fun food experiments in the hour-long class.  Participants will learn kitchen safety and etiquette, proper measuring techniques, and how to build a complete meal. Recipes prepared by these junior chefs may include chicken stir-fry, no-bake protein balls, avocado brownies and more.

Who: Children ages 9-14
What: 5, 1-hour session cooking class
When: Offered during most Youth Program session dates throughout the year. The next session will run January 26-March 2 on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00pm at the Northeast Y.
Cost: Y Members: $10 per class  |  Non-members: $20 per class
