Specifically designed for children learning from home, this program will allow kids a chance to exercise and participate in age-specific sports and activities in an instructor-led setting to show how much fun physical activity can be!

Homeschool Gym

Specifically designed for children learning from home, this program will allow kids a chance to exercise and participate in age-specific sports and activities in an instructor-led setting to show how much fun physical activity can be!

 

Group 1 (Ages 5-7): Hour-long classes two times a week for five weeks. This program offers physical education-style classes. Activities may include Basketball, Soccer, Kickball, Swimming, Tumbling, Floor Hockey, Relay Races and much more.

Group 2 (Ages 8-11): Hour-long classes two times a week for five weeks. This program offers physical education-style classes. Activities may include Basketball, Soccer, Kickball, Swimming, Tumbling, Floor Hockey, Relay Races and much more. This class may also utilize some speed and agility drills.

Group 3 (Ages 12 and up): One hour-long class per week for five weeks. This program will focus on best practices for utilizing wellness equipment as well as how to put workouts together, speed and agility drills, swimming, as well as provide an introduction to Group Exercise classes. Some classes may be led through a workout on our wellness floor.

 

LOCATIONS

Homeschool Gym is currently offered at four Lincoln YMCA locations. Cooper YMCA, Copple Family YMCA, Fallbrook YMCA, and Northeast YMCA.

Cooper YMCA 

Group 1: Mondays & Wednesdays at 10am

Group 2: Mondays & Wednesdays at 11am

Group 3: Not offered at this time

 

Copple Family YMCA 

Group 1: Mondays & Wednesdays at 10am

Group 2: Mondays & Wednesdays at 11am

Group 3: Fridays at 3pm

 

Fallbrook YMCA

Group 1: Mondays and Wednesdays at 1pm

Group 2: Mondays and Wednesdays at 2pm

Group 3: TBA

 

Northeast YMCA

Group 1: Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30am

Group 2: Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:45am

Group 3: Wednesdays at 1pm

 

OTHER INFORMATION

Each class is restricted to a maximum of 15 students. 

Social Distancing will be implemented as much as possible with individuals being spaced apart.

Masks are recommended and may be removed for cardio focused activities.

Participants are asked to wash hands prior to arrival. Hand sanitizer is available to use during and after class.

All efforts will be made for participants to not share equipment. Any shared equipment (i.e. soccer ball) will be disinfected frequently.
