The YMCA helps young people foster a love for running through Youth Sports Running programs. Kids will learn the fundamentals of running, training and stretching in these program.

Winter Speed & Explosive Clinic

1st Grade through 8th Grade | This clinic helps kids improve their quickness, stamina, and overall athletic skills in a fun and active environment.
Each one-hour session includes running drills, agility activities, stretching, and games to build coordination and confidence. The clinic meets once a week for five weeks.

Cross Country Clinic

1st - 6th Grade | YMCA Cross Country Clinic is offered for 1st through 6th Grade boys and girls. The clinic is a great introduction to running and preparing for all sports. It includes running fundamentals, training and stretching in one hour and 15-minute sessions once a week for four weeks.

1st - 8th Grade | YMCA Track and Field is offered for 1st through 8th Grade boys and girls. The program is a great introduction to running and field events. It includes running fundamentals, training, field events and stretching in one hour and 15-minute sessions once a week for five weeks, with an end of the season track meet.
