I want to personally thank you for making the choice to be a member of our association. As a member of the Lincoln YMCA, you and your family are a part of something truly unique, something so much larger than the group exercise class you attend or the swim lesson your little one frequents. You are part of a cause—developing our youth, promoting holistic health and wellness, and giving back and supporting our community. Benefits Of YMCA Membership

Benefits of being a YMCA member include:

Free Services

NEXT STEP - determine your current wellness level and the YMCA programs and services that can take you to the next level.
Health Assessments - mark your progress as often as you'd like through a series of measurements.
Orientations - learn to use all the exercise equipment, as often as you'd like.
Exercise Programming - preparing a program especially for you.
Group Exercise - includes land, water, and cycling classes.

Membership Check In

Each adult Y Member will receive a key card to scan at the Front Desk each time you visit any Lincoln YMCA. (Family members age 9 and older may receive their own key card, if this works best for your family.) 

You can even use your smartphone as your key card, if you wish. To do this, take a photo of your barcode and scan the photo when you enter, or download a key tag app.

Guest Pass Policy

As a member of the Lincoln YMCA, you are welcome to bring a guest as often as you wish. Each of your non-member guests may use the facility, free of charge, up to three times before joining or paying a day fee. Youth guests must be accompanied by an adult member, age 19 or older. At certain times during the holiday season (Thanksgiving and Christmas), members may also bring relatives in to use the facilities.

Towels And Lockers

As a service to our members, we provide towels free of charge. To help us conserve precious environmental resources and allow more of our funds to support our community, we ask that each member use one shower towel per visit. You can ask for a towel when you check in at the Front Desk and place used towels in collection bins throughout the facilities.

Lockers of various sizes are available for use while you are working out. Remember to bring a lock (or request to purchase one at the Front Desk). We recommend you leave valuables at home. Some facilities offer lockers for rent for a monthly fee, simply ask the Front Desk for more information and if rental is available at your Y.

Workout Area And Cardio Equipment Etiquette

As a courtesy to others, wipe off equipment after use. You'll find towels and spray located throughout the facility. Members also put weights back to their original locations and place dirty towels in the towel drops located around the facilities.

Email Address

Your correct email address is essential for us to communicate with you regarding upcoming events, member specials, new classes, offerings and more. We also send out a monthly member e-newsletter to keep you updated on the countless happenings at the Y as well as the work we're doing in the community. We do limit emails to one to two per month in respect for your time and inbox. If you haven't received an email from us in a while or if you are having trouble registering for a program online, please check with the Front Desk to ensure we have your correct email address.

Annual Campaign-Strong Kids

The Lincoln YMCA conducts an Annual Campaign to raise money to provide Y membership and program assistance to youth and families in the community who cannot afford to pay full fees. Please consider a donation when a YMCA volunteer contacts you; or volunteer, donate or participate in one of the many fundraising events we hold throughout the year. To change the account (bank account number, credit card etc.) that your monthly membership dues are drafted from, either complete a new Direct Draft Authorization Form and bring it to the Front Desk of any Lincoln YMCA or you may also change this information at any time online here.

Holds

We understand life happens, so we offer holds to your YMCA membership if the need arises. If you have a monthly bank draft or credit/debit card draft membership, it may be placed on hold for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three consecutive months once during a 12-month period. Your account must have a zero balance to be eligible to be put on hold/freeze. Your YMCA membership and drafts will automatically resume at the end of the Hold Agreement. Annual and payroll deduction payment-type memberships are not eligible for the hold/freeze option.

Cancellations

We would be very sad to see you go, however if you choose to cancel your membership, please visit the Front Desk of any Lincoln YMCA facility to complete a cancellation form at least 5 business days prior to the end of the month (or by the 15th of the month if you have payroll deduction) to allow sufficient time to cancel your automatic bank/credit card draft.

You will be charged for your membership the first of each month until a written notice is received. Not using your membership does not constitute a cancellation.
