Jr. Huskers Summer Recreational Baseball League

League Description

Recreational Baseball offers low pressure development opportunities in an nine-week season with one practice and one game per week. Volunteer coaches will use modified rules for younger grade levels and teams will be based on school, grade, and previous team participation.

 

Ages

Players entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade. When registering for Summer baseball and softball leagues, please register your child for their grade in school in the 2019-20 school year. 

 

Registration Information

Registration has been completed for the Summer 2020 League.

 

Game Days

Season begins the week of June 18, 2020. Projected game days are listed below and an exact schedule will be posted after June 6.

Kindergarten: One hour T-ball game on Saturday morning or afternoon/Sunday afternoon.

1st Grade: One hour Coach Pitch game on Saturday morning or afternoon/Sunday afternoon.

2nd Grade: One hour and 15 minute Coach Pitch game on Saturday morning or afternoon/Monday after 5:30pm.

3rd Grade: One hour and 30 minute Player Pitch or Coach Pitch game on Wednesday after 5:30pm/Friday after 5:30pm.
* Last four games of the season will be all Player Pitch.

4th Grade: One hour and 30 minute Player Pitch game on Wednesday after 5:30pm/Friday after 5:30pm.

5th Grade: One hour and 30 minute Player Pitch game on Wednesday after 5:30pm/Friday after 5:30pm.

6th/7th/8th Grades: One hour and 30 minute Player Pitch game on Monday after 5:30pm/Tuesday after 5:30pm.

Lincoln YMCA Members $67 | Non-members $77

 

Uniforms

Teams are required to wear the Jr. Huskers Recreational Baseball jersey included in the registration fee.

 

Other Equipment

Participants will be required to provide their own glove. Cleats are recommended but not required. Tennis shoes are fine. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped).
