ACADEMY DESCRIPTION: The YMCA Basketball Academy is offered for boys and girls in 2nd through 6th Grade. Participants will receive an informational letter detailing Academy time and location approximately ten days before the start date. The Academy offers fundamental instruction and activities and takes place once a week for 60 minutes and runs for four sessions. Groups are based on grade and may be co-ed depending on the number of registrants.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Registration for the Spring Basketball Academy are now available. The registration deadline is on April 2. There is a max of 20 participants per session.

ACADEMY DAYS: 

Sunday Afternoons on April 14, 21, 28 and May 5.

2nd and 3rd Grade 1:00pm to 2:00pm

2nd Grade and 3rd Grade 2:15pm to 3:15pm

4th, 5th and 6th Grade 3:30pm to 4:30pm

CAMP DESCRIPTION: The YMCA Basketball Summer Camp is offered for boys and girls going into 2nd through 8th Grade. For Summer Sports Camps register for the grade in school for the 2024/2025 school year.

Girls Basketball Camp registration deadline is on  June 27.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program is designed to introduce your soon to be 1st and 2nd Graders to the sport of basketball. Each week players will spend 30 minutes on skill work and drills. The remaining 30 minutes will be spent playing games of 3v3 Half Court Basketball. Players will learn fundamental skills, rules of the game and how to be a member of a team. This program will feature age-appropriate activities, rules and equipment to maximize skill development. Grade for 2024 – 2025 school year.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Registration for the YMCA Summer Mini Hoopers Basketball Program is now available.

Early Registration Deadline: April 30 (The fee will be an additional $10 after the early registration deadline)

Middle Registration Deadline: May 15 (The fee will be an additional $30 after the middle registration deadline)

Late Registration Period: After May 16

There is a max of 40 participants per session.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Preseason Basketball Training is offered for boys and girls in 1st through 6th Grade. Participants will receive an informational email detailing training time and location approximately ten days before the start date. The training offers fundamental instruction and activities and takes place one hour a week for three weeks.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: 

Registration for the YMCA Winter Basketball Preseason Training will be available after September 1.

CLINIC DATES: 3 weeks on Sunday afternoon in November and December 

CLINIC LOCATION: All sessions will be at a Lincoln Public Schools location (to be determined).

UNIFORMS: T-Shirts are included with your registration fee.

FEES: Lincoln YMCA Members $35 | Community Members $45

Clinic participants will receive an informational email detailing clinic time and location approximately ten days before the start date. The clinic offers a great introduction to basketball, fundamental instruction, and small games. The clinic runs one hour per week for four weeks.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: 

Registration for the YMCA Winter Basketball Kindergarten Clinic will be available after September 1.

CLINIC DATES: 4 weeks on Sunday afternoons starting in January.

CLINIC LOCATION: All sessions will be at a Lincoln Public Schools location (to be determined).

CAMP DESCRIPTION: The YMCA Holiday Break Basketball Camp is offered for boys and girls in 2^nd – 6^th grade. Campers will work on ball handling, shooting, attacking the basket, defense, 1v1 and 3v3. The camp will also have a free throw competition and skills challenge.  

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Registration for YMCA Winter Break Basketball Camp will be available after November 1.

There is a limit of 20 participants for the 2nd - 3rd Grade Camp and 20 participants for the 4th - 6th Grade Camp.

CAMP DATES AND LOCATIONS: 

YMCA Winter Break Basketball Camp will be held in December .
