Jr. Huskers Micro Flag Football League

League Description

Micro Flag Football is a great way to introduce boys and girls to the game of football. With a combined 25-minute practice and 25-minute game once a week, players enjoy smaller footballs and modified rules to accommodate younger players. Volunteer coaches ensure that all participants play and teams will be based on school, grade, and previous team participation.

Registration Information

Registration for the Fall YMCA Jr Huskers Micro Flag Football League will be available after June 1, 2024.

Registration for the YMCA Jr Huskers Spring Micro Flag Football League is now complete.

Early Registration Deadline: January 31 (The fee will be an additional $10 after the early registration deadline)

Middle Registration Deadline: February 20 (The fee will be an additional $30 after the middle registration deadline)

Late Registration Deadline: March 15

Game Days

Monday or Tuesday evenings. Games will be played start March 25/26 for 7 games. Exact day of games for each grade level will be posted in March.

Uniforms

The Jr. Huskers Reversible Flag Football Jersey (black/red) is required for Jr. Huskers Micro Flag Football. Jerseys can be purchased for $18 at the park (cash or check only) on game days or at the Youth Sports Office (570 Fallbrook Blvd Suite 210) Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.

Lincoln YMCA Members $38 | Community Members $48

Other Equipment

Mouth guards are required. Cleats are recommended but not required. Tennis shoes are fine. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed during matches/games.
