Jr. Huskers Fall Recreational Softball League

League Description

Fall Recreational Softball offers low-pressure development opportunities for young players in a five-week season. 1st and 2nd Graders will have one hour of coach pitch and Kindergartners will hit off the tee.

Registration Information

Registration for the Fall YMCA Jr. Huskers Recreational Softball League is now available,

Early Registration Deadline: July 1 (The fee will be an additional $10 after the early registration deadline)

Middle Registration Deadline: July 20 (The fee will be an additional $35 after the middle registration deadline)

Late Registration Deadline: August 23 (Teams are made after the middle registration deadline so no guarantees on team placement.)

Game Days

Saturdays mornings/afternoons on August 29, September 12, 19, 26 and October 3.

Uniforms

Teams are required to wear the Jr. Huskers Recreational Softball jersey and hat included in the registration fee.

Other Equipment

Participants will be required to provide their own glove. Players may wear tennis/turf shoes/softball cleats (no metal spikes allowed). Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed during matches/games.

It is highly recommended that for the 2026 season that participants provide their own batting helmet and bat.
