1st - 8th Grade | YMCA Track and Field is offered for 1st through 8th Grade boys and girls. The program is a great introduction to running and field events. It includes running fundamentals, training, field events and stretching in one hour and 15-minute sessions once a week for five weeks, with an end of the season track meet.

Program Description

YMCA Track and Field is offered for 1st through 8th Grade boys and girls. The program is a great introduction to running and field events. It includes running fundamentals, training, field events and stretching in one hour and 15-minute sessions once a week for five weeks, with an end of the season track meet. Participants will receive an informational email detailing clinic time and location approximately ten days before the start date.

Ages

1st - 8th Grade (School Grade for the 2024-2025 school year.)

Registration Information

Registration for the YMCA Track Field is now available.

Early Registration Deadline: April 31 (The fee will be an additional $10 after the early registration deadline)

Middle Registration Deadline: May 21 (The fee will be an additional $30 after the middle registration deadline)

Late Registration Period: After May 22

Clinic Days

Thursday evenings for the Track and Field Clinic sessions from 6:30pm to 7:45pm on June 13, 20, 27 and July 11, 18.

YMCA Track and Field Meet will be on Saturday, July 27 starting at 9:00am.

Events

Events offered will be sprints, middle distance, relay races, long jump, triple jump, baseball/softball throw and frisbee throw.  The events offered will vary by grade level.

T-Shirts

T-shirt is included in the registration fee.

Fees

Lincoln YMCA Members $60 | Community Members $70

Other Equipment

Running shoes are recommended. Tennis shoes are fine. No sandals, open-toed shoes or shoes with cleats allowed. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during YMCA Youth Sports activities. This includes earrings (earrings cannot be taped). No hard casts/splints are allowed.
